WMOX Agenda - Tuesday April 23, 2012

I will be coming over from the 'burbs of Brandon in the am barring the unforeseen to join the Morning Show crew. As usual we have a full agenda which no doubt will change by the morning or during the show. Here are some of the things on the agenda for the morning:

o Is the latest version of Paul Ryan's budget the game changer for the election.
o Is the Tea Party still a force to be reckoned with or has its day passed?
o Food stamps, sushi and third party payers. How this changing our world.
o The Fed is continuing the zero interest rate policy. What are the costs and the risks of this move?
o The basic principles of economics and wealth creation.
o How does your choice of consumer goods related to political views?
o How does the profitability of oil companies compare to other industries.
o The Great Muddle through continues. Latest thoughts on the economic recovery including the truck index, the unemployment rate and other key measures. We will review the numerous statistics released recently and go through what it may mean. Are the somewhat optimistic forecasts for 2012 on track?
o Is the GOP still waiting for Superman? However, Romney is appears to be the standard bearer. What does the unfolding saga of the Vice Presidential pick sweepstakes hold?
o Liberals lack understanding of basic economics according to a study. Surprise?!
o A some book picks from the George W. Bush era. One, is President Bush's Decision Points. The second is On the Brink by former Secretary of Treasury Paulson on the financial crisis. The final one is Donald Rumsfeld, Known and Unknown. HBO recently released a docudrama, Too Big to Fail, about the bailout the Panic of 2008.
o A couple of other books on the list, Crash Course by Paul Ingrassia on the automobile industry, Grand Pursuit: The Search for Economic Genius by Sylvia Nassar and Mark Levin's latest, Ameritopia. HBO just released another docudrama, Game Change, about Sarah Palin.
o College Hoops is over, Next step is NBA draft watch, recruiting and then wait till midnight madness in October.
o What ever listeners which to talk about.

WMOX now has streaming video and audio so tune in online if outside the airwaves of Meridian. I have a link on my website if you want to log on and join the discussion.
