WMOX Agenda - Wednesday February 15, 2012

I will be coming over from the 'burbs of Brandon in the am barring the unforeseen to join the Morning Show crew. As usual we have a full agenda which no doubt will change by the morning or during the show. Here are some of the things on the agenda for the morning:

o Obama, Catholics and Atlas Shrugged the common factor.
The debate over the distribution of income. What is the root cause of this? Is the cause different than the conventional wisdom?
o What Mitt's taxes really tell us about the tax system? Is the Buffet rule a good idea? The short answer is the need for reform.
o The Great Muddle through continues. Latest thoughts on the economic recovery including the truck index, the unemployment rate and other key measures. We will review the numerous statistics released recently and go through what it may mean. Are the somewhat optimistic forecasts for 2012 on track?
o Why markets channel greed and end up making it good. In other words, Gordon Gekkco was right for the wrong reason.
o Is the GOP waiting for Superman? Is Romney the last man standing? Or will he and the perhaps rising Santorum duke it out to the bitter end? Is Newt fading or does he have one last comeback?
o Liberals lack understanding of basic economics according to a recent study. Surprise?!
o A some book picks from the George W. Bush era. One, is President Bush's Decision Points. The second is On the Brink by former Secretary of Treasury Paulson on the financial crisis. The final one is Donald Rumsfeld, Known and Unknown. HBO recently released a docudrama, Too Big to Fail, about the bailout the Panic of 2008.
o A couple of other books on the list, Crash Course by Paul Ingrassia on the automobile industry and Grand Pursuit: The Search for Economic Genius by Sylvia Nassar.
o o College Hoops is cranking up with conference play under way. Bubble watch and bracketology and cranking up for real.
o What ever listeners which to talk about.
